CEO Marco Sparvieri noted that while the company faced continued market headwinds, its core business units maintained or expanded market share. The gross margin saw a 106 basis-point improvement, reaching 64.6%, as productivity gains effectively absorbed higher promotional spending and new tax burdens on sweetened beverages. Performance varied by region, with Latin American operations recording 3.9% growth, which partially offset the ongoing disruption within the US Hispanic market.

Genomma Lab Reports Mixed Q2 2026 Results Amid Market Recovery
Genomma Lab Internacional reported a 3.6% decline in like-for-like sales for the second quarter of 2026, as the company navigated a soft retail environment in Mexico and the US. Despite the top-line contraction, the pharmaceutical group managed a 5.5% increase in net income, bolstered by improved margins and reduced financial expenses.

Consolidated net sales totaled 4,397 million Mexican pesos, reflecting a 6.0% decrease compared to the same period in 2025, a figure further impacted by the 10.8% appreciation of the Mexican peso. While operating income and EBITDA faced pressure due to operational deleverage, the company remains optimistic about a second-half recovery. This confidence is driven by a new innovation pipeline, including the rollout of Suerox Mineral, which has already shown positive sell-out trends in early July. Management will discuss these results and future outlook during a scheduled conference call on July 23.
