Bespoke 2026 Carlex G-Wagens Arrive at Mercedes-Benz of Scottsdale

Two units of the 2026 Carlex G-Wagen have touched down in Arizona, signaling a rare opportunity for local collectors. Mercedes-Benz of Scottsdale is now showcasing these coachbuilt machines, which blend traditional handcrafted aesthetics with the raw output of a twin-turbocharged V8 engine tailored for the Sonoran Desert.

Modified by the internationally recognized specialists at Carlex Design, these SUVs prioritize bespoke luxury over mass production. The interior cabins feature vegetable-tanned leathers and alpaca wool accents, materials selected specifically to withstand the intense heat of the Valley while maintaining a premium tactile experience. Under the hood, the 4.0-liter engine provides the necessary torque for both urban navigation and off-road excursions.

Matt McDermott, a spokesperson for the dealership, noted that the arrival of these vehicles offers a rare look at the intersection of artisanal coachwork and Mercedes-AMG performance. Because each commission utilizes unique stitching, color palettes, and trim configurations, the dealership is marketing them as one-of-one collector pieces. Prospective buyers can currently inspect the inventory via a new video walkaround or by visiting the showroom at 4725 North Scottsdale Road to arrange a private viewing.
