Earnings per common share reached $0.33, up from $0.25 in the first quarter. Excluding acquisition-related expenses, the adjusted earnings per share stood at $0.39. The bank saw broad growth across its portfolio, with net interest income climbing 9% sequentially to reach $1.61 billion, while noninterest income rose to $785 million. Total loans and leases grew to $189.3 billion, fueled by significant commercial loan expansion.

Chairman and CEO Steve Steinour attributed the results to disciplined execution and early revenue synergies within newly acquired markets. With major integrations including Veritex and Cadence now finalized, the bank is shifting focus toward realizing full economic benefits by the fourth quarter. Despite a slight dip in the Common Equity Tier 1 ratio to 10.0%, the company maintained a steady capital position, repurchasing $159 million in common shares during the quarter.
