A coalition of 15 credit unions and industry partners raised $1.65 million during the annual Credit Unions for Kids Northwest Classic golf tournament. The funds, collected to support Children's Miracle Network hospitals, mark a milestone in a 40-year collaborative effort to advance pediatric cancer research and patient care.

First Technology Federal Credit Union spearheaded the event, which drew employees, business leaders, and donors to support medical facilities across the U.S. West Coast. Since its inception, the tournament has become a primary funding engine for the Children's Miracle Network, contributing to a total of over $17 million raised by credit union participants throughout the initiative's history.

This year’s contributions are earmarked for six major institutions, including Seattle Children's Hospital, OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital, and Children's Hospital Colorado. Executives from participating firms noted that the initiative reflects the movement's long-standing philosophy of cooperative community support. The tournament, supported by presenting sponsor EvonSys and over 150 organizations, coincides with the 40th anniversary of the CU4Kids program, which has generated more than $200 million for pediatric care since 1996.
