Yingling previously served as Synteq’s Vice President of HPC, joining the company following the acquisition of Crunchbits, the cloud infrastructure firm he founded in 2017. His technical background in VPS, dedicated servers, and GPU compute now serves as the foundation for Synteq’s core service offerings. Synteq Appoints Eric Yingling as Chief Executive Officer
Eric Yingling has stepped into the role of CEO at cloud infrastructure provider Synteq, succeeding co-founder Taras Kulyk. The appointment, effective July 1, 2026, signals a strategic pivot for the Wilmington-based firm as it seeks to transition from a hardware-focused operation into a category-defining enterprise cloud platform.
Taras Kulyk, who led the firm through its initial growth phase, has moved into the role of Chief Development Officer. According to Jaime Leverton, Chair of Synteq’s board, the search for a new CEO focused on finding a leader capable of scaling the company’s operational discipline. Yingling’s mandate is to leverage the existing IP stack and engineering expertise to capture a larger share of the enterprise market. The company currently operates its own network, AS400304, maintaining infrastructure across multiple global sites.
