Bangkok and Teaneck-based Cognizant are joining forces with Gulf Edge to build the digital infrastructure required to transition Thailand into an AI-native market. The strategic alliance combines Gulf Group’s local energy and cloud assets with Cognizant’s global engineering expertise to scale enterprise-grade artificial intelligence across key sectors.

Beyond immediate business applications, the partnership seeks to establish Thailand as a regional hub for artificial intelligence. Ganesh Ayyar, President of Cognizant Asia Pacific & Japan, noted that the project is expected to create approximately 1,000 high-skilled jobs in fields such as data science, cybersecurity, and AI engineering. To support this workforce shift, both firms plan to engage with local universities and research institutions to foster homegrown talent and ensure sustainable, responsible technology adoption.
