EDAWN Rebrands as Northern NV Now to Reflect Regional Growth

After four decades of driving regional economic growth, the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada has rebranded as Northern NV Now. The organization debuted the new identity at a Reno Public Market press conference, signaling a shift toward a more modern, precise, and forward-looking representation of its mission.

The transition marks a change in branding rather than a shift in operations. President and CEO Taylor Adams stated that the former name, EDAWN, had become ambiguous, with "Authority" often mistaken for a government agency and "Western Nevada" failing to capture the specific region served. The new name aims to emphasize the organization's agility and focus on the Northern Nevada business landscape.

The visual identity features a rising sun over a mountain, incorporating elements of the local geography while maintaining a color palette that preserves the organization's history. The project was completed in collaboration with The Abbi Agency, a Reno-based firm, ensuring the investment remained within the regional economy. Board Chair Stephen Ascuaga noted that the update mirrors the evolution of the area into a dynamic hub for advanced manufacturing and technology. While the rebranding is effective immediately across social channels, a full website transition is scheduled for the coming months.
