UniTek Global Services Acquires Concurrent Utility Services

The Nashville-based investment bank XLCS Partners has finalized the sale of Miami-based Concurrent Utility Services to UniTek Global Services. The transaction, completed on July 1, 2026, integrates Concurrent’s regional power infrastructure capabilities into UniTek’s expanding national network, marking a strategic consolidation within the Southeast utility sector.

UniTek Global Services Acquires Concurrent Utility Services

Concurrent Utility Services, a licensed electrical contractor, specializes in overhead and underground construction, emergency restoration, and data center development across the Southeast United States. By joining UniTek, a firm backed by New Mountain Finance Corporation and BTG Pactual Strategic Capital, Concurrent gains the resources of a larger entity operating across 60 locations in the U.S. and Canada.

This acquisition bolsters UniTek’s Power Services Division, an initiative launched in July 2025 to capture rising demand for modernized energy infrastructure. The deal allows Concurrent to maintain its current brand identity and operational structure while leveraging UniTek’s broader broadband and data center expertise. Anthony Contaldo and Jay Cremer of XLCS Partners spearheaded the transaction, which Steve Sarno, CEO of Concurrent, described as a pivotal move for the company’s long-term growth and service capabilities.
