Supermicro Debuts H15 Server Lineup Featuring 6th Gen AMD EPYC CPUs
San Jose-based Supermicro has unveiled its H15 server portfolio, leveraging 6th Gen AMD EPYC 9006 Series processors to achieve a 1.7x generational performance boost. Designed for high-demand AI and cloud environments, the new systems support up to 256 cores and 512 threads within existing power and cooling footprints.
Beyond standard servers, the expansion includes the AMD Helios Platform, a rack-scale solution housing 72 GPUs tailored for large-scale AI training. Supermicro is also targeting inference workloads with new 5U PCIe servers capable of supporting ten AMD Instinct MI350P GPUs. These systems utilize the Pensando Pollara 400 AI NIC to maintain low-latency connectivity across clusters. The company showcased these technologies during the AMD Advancing AI Day in San Francisco, where it demonstrated a 42U rack implementation containing 96 EPYC 9006 processors.
