Taco Graduates Inaugural Class of Global Manager Development Program

Cranston-based Taco has officially graduated its first cohort of the Manager Development Program, a two-year initiative designed to standardize leadership capabilities across its North American and European offices. The program replaces fragmented departmental training with a cohesive strategy aimed at fostering long-term internal talent.

Participants in the two-tier course undergo an intensive curriculum that begins with self-awareness and communication before transitioning into conflict resolution, coaching, and delegation. Unlike previous ad-hoc initiatives, this program forces real-world application, requiring leaders to test management strategies against actual business challenges. The Executive Leadership Team remains deeply embedded in the process, providing mentorship and networking opportunities that signal the company's commitment to the initiative.

Internal feedback suggests the effort is yielding tangible results, with managers reporting higher levels of confidence and improved cross-departmental collaboration. According to Amr Fass, Director of Global Talent, the company is doubling down on this investment even as many industry peers scale back their professional development budgets. With the second cohort already underway, Taco plans to utilize the Global Learning Summit to further integrate these leaders into a unified management culture. For Chief Human Resources Officer Victoria McCoy, the goal remains clear: establishing a consistent foundation for every manager, regardless of geography or specific role.
