The new functionality allows teams to mix developer-owned keys with platform-managed access, effectively centralizing complex routing logic behind a single API. By removing the requirement to choose between proprietary provider accounts and managed infrastructure, the tool aims to solve common AI deployment hurdles like rate limits and provider outages.

The system handles automatic failover and adaptive model selection, ensuring that applications remain functional even when specific provider credentials face latency or availability constraints. This hybrid approach reduces vendor lock-in, as workloads can shift across providers without the need for extensive code rewrites.
