Advita Ortho Integrates Vitamin E Polyethylene Into Shoulder Implants
Surgeons at the University of Florida have completed the first clinical procedures using Equinoxe Reverse Shoulder System humeral liners enhanced with Activit-E polyethylene. This rollout marks the final phase of Advita Ortho’s effort to integrate its antioxidant-infused material across its entire shoulder, knee, and ankle implant portfolios.
Chief Executive Officer Aurelio Sahagun stated that the expansion reflects a broader strategy to standardize advanced material options across the company's orthopedic catalog. Currently, the Activit-E humeral liners are limited to a U.S. pilot launch, with a wider domestic release and international debut scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026.
