Tefi Pessoa and Tillamook Take Over Astor Place

Nearly half of American shoppers unknowingly grab frozen dairy desserts instead of the real thing, a realization that prompted media personality Tefi Pessoa to partner with Tillamook for a pop-up experience at New York City’s Astor Place, aiming to educate consumers on what actually sits inside their freezer cartons.

The Real Scoop Newsstand, located in the East Village, serves as a temporary headquarters for the campaign. Visitors can explore the nuances of dairy labels through July 25 at 7 p.m., while also stepping into a dedicated podcast studio to record their own takes on the brand's quality standards. Pessoa, known for her candid commentary on pop culture, is joined by creators Stefan Ng, Kaitlyn Lavery, Natasha Martinez, and Jess Lucero to help demystify the dairy aisle.

Beyond the physical pop-up, the farmer-owned cooperative is launching a nationwide sweepstakes. Fans can enter at tillamook.com/the-real-scoop to win a year’s supply of ice cream, consisting of 52 coupons. The initiative highlights the cooperative’s 1909 roots in Oregon, emphasizing a commitment to quality that they claim often gets lost in the crowded, confusing landscape of modern supermarket freezers.
