St. Johns County Expands Digital Reach with New Podcast Series

St. Johns County has launched a trio of audio and video programs designed to pull back the curtain on local government operations. By integrating on-demand streaming with traditional radio broadcasts, the county aims to foster greater transparency and keep residents connected to major infrastructure and policy developments in real time.

The initiative features three distinct shows, each tailored to different aspects of county governance. County Conversations, produced alongside WFCF 88.5 Flagler College Radio, provides deep dives into municipal services and major projects, with initial episodes featuring Public Works Director Greg Caldwell. For those tracking legislative action, Behind the SJCenes offers recaps of Board of County Commissioners meetings and guest interviews in partnership with WSOS 103.9 St. Augustine Radio. Rounding out the lineup is The SJC Report, a concise news update broadcast live every second Tuesday on WFOY 102.1 FM.

Digital Media Manager Matt Denny noted that the project is a direct extension of the county’s Strategic Plan, which prioritizes community trust through proactive communication. The rollout follows recent accolades for the St. Johns County Office of Public Affairs, which received an Outstanding Award for its Inside SJC video series and a Governmental Entity Certificate of Excellence from the Florida Municipal Communicators Association. Residents can access the full archive of episodes through the official county website and YouTube channel.
