Koei Tecmo Profits Nearly Double in Strong First Quarter

Koei Tecmo Holdings reported a significant surge in profitability for the first quarter ending June 30, with net profit climbing to 11.35 billion yen. This result marks a sharp increase from the 6.07 billion yen recorded during the same period last year, signaling robust financial momentum for the Japanese gaming firm.

Revenue for the period reached 17.37 billion yen, up from 14.80 billion yen in 2025. The company’s operational efficiency also improved, with operating profit rising to 5.41 billion yen compared to 3.57 billion yen previously. Pretax profit saw even steeper gains, hitting 15.72 billion yen against 8.77 billion yen in the prior year.

Earnings per share rose to 33.97 yen, effectively outperforming the 19.23 yen per share reported in the first quarter of 2025. These figures are calculated based on Japanese accounting standards.
