TransDigm Expands Specialty Metals Portfolio with $1.07B Prince & Izant Buy

Prince & Izant, currently a portfolio company of Industrial Growth Partners, specializes in high-performance metallurgy. Its catalog includes nearly 10,000 active SKUs, with a revenue model heavily reliant on precious metals like gold, silver, and platinum. The company maintains four U.S. manufacturing sites and expects to generate approximately $360 million in revenue throughout 2026.

TransDigm CEO Mike Lisman noted that the acquisition aligns with the firm’s strategy of purchasing proprietary, high-value components that serve critical, high-cost-of-failure applications. With 220 employees joining the fold, the integration aims to leverage Prince & Izant’s deep formulation expertise to meet the increasingly complex performance requirements of the aerospace and defense sectors. The transaction remains subject to standard regulatory review and customary closing conditions.
