Glenn Youngkin Joins AIR Control Concepts Board

Youngkin brings a background in private equity to the HVAC and mechanical services platform, having spent 25 years at The Carlyle Group, where he served as co-CEO. His appointment marks his first corporate board role since concluding his term as the 74th Governor of Virginia in 2026. During his tenure in the governor's mansion, he oversaw significant capital investments and job growth, earning the state top business rankings.

For Hobbs, the addition is a personal and professional reunion spanning four decades. The two previously collaborated during Youngkin's gubernatorial campaign and shared a history as high school teammates. AIR currently supports more than 3,500 associates, maintaining an operating model that aims to preserve the local culture of its acquired businesses while leveraging the resources of a larger global network. Youngkin’s involvement is intended to bolster the company's governance as it targets further international growth.
