Beazley Security and Halcyon Unveil Unified Cyber Resilience Retainer

Traditional incident response often triggers only after a network breach occurs, leaving organizations scrambling for specialized support in the heat of a crisis. Beazley Security and Halcyon are shifting this paradigm by launching a joint retainer that integrates incident management, digital forensics, and anti-ransomware protection into one proactive service.

Beazley Security and Halcyon Unveil Unified Cyber Resilience Retainer

The new offering, dubbed the Cyber Resilience Retainer, aims to bridge the gap between reactive recovery and preventative defense. By establishing pre-incident relationships with breach coaches, forensic experts, and ransomware specialists, the partnership seeks to eliminate the procurement bottlenecks that frequently delay critical response efforts. Clients gain access to a unified support structure designed to handle the technical, legal, and reputational fallout of an attack simultaneously rather than in disjointed, sequential phases.

Halcyon contributes its specialized anti-ransomware platform, managed through its dedicated Ransomware Operations Center. This allows for real-time containment of encryption attempts and lateral movement during an active incident. Beazley Security complements these technical capabilities with its broader incident management framework, which draws on the actuarial and risk-mitigation expertise of its parent company, Beazley Insurance. According to Beazley Security CEO Alton Kizziah, the goal is to shift the market standard from simple response contracts toward a comprehensive resilience lifecycle. Halcyon CTO Ryan Smith noted that the collaboration ensures investigation and recovery occur in parallel, providing organizations with a more robust strategy for surviving high-stakes cyber threats.
