The investment round was co-led by UTokyo Innovation Platform and Elikon Venture, with participation from a diverse syndicate including Mitsubishi UFJ Capital and Suzhou Capital Group. This influx of capital allows CORE to advance a therapeutic strategy that targets biological pathways defining cancer cell identity—a shift the company argues addresses limitations inherent in standard genomics-based approaches.

Simultaneously, the firm’s Japanese subsidiary secured a grant under the Strengthening Program for Pharmaceutical Startup Ecosystem. This government-backed initiative aims to bolster the domestic biotech sector, facilitating closer research ties between the company and Japan’s academic and clinical institutions. According to CEO Dr. Ping Zhu, the dual backing serves as a validation of the company's technical roadmap. Makoto Ohori of UTokyo Innovation Platform noted that the firm’s methodology tackles fundamental challenges in cancer biology that traditional models have struggled to resolve. Founded by former executives from H3 Biomedicine, the company now plans to utilize these resources to push its pipeline toward human trials.
