After sweeping the preliminary honors in Oxford, 23-year-old entrepreneur Zoie McGuyer has been crowned Miss Alabama Volunteer 2027. She now prepares to represent the state at the national competition in Jackson, Tennessee, next June, using the platform to expand her advocacy for children affected by abuse and neglect.

McGuyer dominated the statewide competition, securing the titles for Overall Talent and Overall Fitness & Wellness, alongside the Community Service award. Her victory provides a high-profile stage for her nonprofit, Saving Grace: We Hear You, which focuses on providing resources and support for survivors of childhood trauma. As a survivor herself, she has already authored an activity book designed to help children process their experiences through creative expression.

Her upcoming year of service centers on five strategic priorities, including a partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and The Salvation Army. Beyond her philanthropic efforts, McGuyer manages Hello Queen, a resale marketplace for formalwear that funnels support into her charitable initiatives. By bridging professional entrepreneurship with grassroots advocacy, she aims to inspire young women across the state while strengthening community networks dedicated to child protection.
