Net Health Deploys Specialty-Specific AI Scribe for Rehab Therapy

Rehab therapists face a growing administrative burden, often forced to choose between patient engagement and meticulous record-keeping. Net Health is attempting to bridge this divide by integrating an ambient AI scribe directly into its ReDoc platform, specifically trained on the clinical language of physical, occupational, and speech-language pathology providers.

Net Health Deploys Specialty-Specific AI Scribe for Rehab Therapy

The tool functions as a native ambient scribe, generating clinical narratives and filling documentation fields in real-time during patient encounters. Unlike generic AI solutions, the model was trained on proprietary documentation data from ReDoc users. This allows the system to distinguish between the unique requirements of various sub-specialties, such as tracking pediatric developmental milestones versus measuring grip strength in hand therapy.

Clinicians participating in the pilot program report saving up to 20 minutes per patient evaluation. According to Net Health CEO Ron Books, the primary goal is to shift the therapist's focus back to the patient rather than the screen. Beyond documentation efficiency, the company claims the AI produces more comprehensive notes, which can improve reimbursement and authorization success. This release marks an expansion of the company’s AI roadmap, with future updates slated to include automated coding support, smart scheduling, and chart auditing features.
