Kyokuto Securities Posts 53% Profit Jump in First Quarter

Kyokuto Securities reported a net profit of 1.53 billion yen for the first quarter ending June 30, marking a significant climb from the 998 million yen recorded during the same period last year. This surge reflects a broader strengthening of revenue streams for the Japanese brokerage firm compared to 2025.

The company’s revenue reached 2.90 billion yen, up from 1.76 billion yen a year earlier. Operating profit saw an even steeper incline, hitting 1.52 billion yen against the 479 million yen reported in the previous year. Pretax profit followed a similar trajectory, rising to 1.88 billion yen from 758 million yen. Earnings per share climbed to 48.52 yen, compared to 31.29 yen in the prior year. These figures, calculated under Japanese accounting standards, underscore a robust start to the 2026 fiscal year for the Tokyo-based financial institution.
