The Stoxx Europe 600 index edged up 0.3% during morning trade, supported by gains in the FTSE 100, which rose 0.6%. Individual company performance varied significantly: Alten and Sopra Steria Group surged 13.7% and 12.7% respectively, while Auto1 Group and Logitech International retreated, dropping 13.5% and 9.1%. Across the continent, Germany’s DAX and France’s CAC 40 both recorded modest gains of 0.3% and 0.4%.
In currency and debt markets, the Wall Street Journal Dollar Index slipped to 97.47. Yields on government debt saw slight upward pressure, with the German 10-year Bund yield rising to 3.148% and the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield ticking up to 4.618%. Meanwhile, natural gas prices in Europe increased, with Dutch TTF futures trading at 58.85 euros per megawatt hour.
