German medical packaging giant Gerresheimer is offloading two of its core business units to funds managed by Apax Partners in a transaction valued at 1.5 billion euros, or roughly $1.7 billion. The divestiture encompasses Centor US Holding and the Primary Packaging Plastics division, which together posted 570 million euros in revenue for 2025. By offloading these assets, Gerresheimer hands over control of 15 production facilities spanning nine countries, alongside Centor’s dedicated U.S. manufacturing site. The company noted that the two acquisitions will be finalized as independent transactions rather than a single bundled closing.
