Adidas to Outfit 100 Nations at Inaugural Esports Nations Cup
More than 100 countries will trade club jerseys for national colors this November, as the Esports Foundation and adidas launch a partnership to equip 2,000 athletes for the inaugural Esports Nations Cup in Riyadh. The deal marks a formal convergence of traditional sports branding and global competitive gaming.

Mohammed Al Nimer, Chief Commercial Officer at the Esports Foundation, noted that the jerseys serve as symbols of national pride, intended to elevate esports athletes to the same status as traditional sports competitors. Phillip Waller, adidas SVP of Brand Development, added that the company is leveraging its decades of experience in major global events to establish a new cultural footprint within the digital competition space. Beyond the tournament, the initiative includes a $20 million Development Fund dedicated to sustaining local esports ecosystems and supporting national team operations.
