For Petrone Risk, this milestone confirms the efficacy of its consulting, which spans physical security assessments, operational planning, and emergency preparedness training. Petrone Risk Gains DHS SAFETY Act Acknowledgment for Security Services
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has granted Petrone Risk a formal SAFETY Act acknowledgment for its security and risk management consulting services. Approved on July 24, 2026, the designation validates the firm’s methodologies for preventing and mitigating terrorism through August 2029, offering a new layer of liability protection.

Chief Risk Officer Kathy Lupia noted that the achievement stems from years of collaboration with the Office of SAFETY Act Implementation. Beyond internal validation, the firm views this status as a tool to further the national anti-terrorism mission. Having previously helped other organizations secure their own SAFETY Act protections, Petrone Risk intends to leverage this status to enhance the security resilience of its diverse client base across the private and public sectors.
