The Worldwide Assurance for Employees of Public Agencies has overhauled its membership criteria, allowing adult children, parents, and parents-in-law of civilian federal workers to secure independent life insurance. This policy shift, effective as of August 1, 2026, significantly broadens the reach of the nonprofit’s financial protection programs.
Beyond life insurance, these new members gain access to WAEPA’s broader financial ecosystem.
