The airport recently expanded its Terminal 2 checkpoint to six lanes, designating one specifically for PreCheck users. A similar lane is slated for the upcoming Terminal 4 expansion. While security requirements occasionally necessitate operational flexibility, officials intend to keep these lanes exclusive to eligible travelers whenever possible.
Atif Elkadi, chief executive officer of the Ontario International Airport Authority, attributes the shift to a deepening partnership with the Transportation Security Administration. By integrating enrollment services into the airport through a collaboration with CLEAR, the facility has removed the need for appointments, allowing passengers to complete registration or renewals in minutes while moving through the terminals.
