Rival Shark Debuts AI Platform to Automate Corporate Intelligence

Most businesses learn about a competitor's move only after losing a deal, but Minnesota-based Rival Shark aims to shrink that awareness gap. The company today launched an AI-powered platform designed to provide actionable market intelligence in under ten minutes, effectively bypassing the need for a dedicated, high-cost research team.

Rival Shark Debuts AI Platform to Automate Corporate Intelligence

The platform functions by automating the synthesis of competitor, industry, and local market data. Unlike enterprise-grade tools that require human analysts to interpret raw information, Rival Shark generates structured reports that include specific recommended actions, urgency levels, and assigned ownership for every finding. Co-founder and CEO Catherine Beck argues that this approach allows smaller companies—or even lean teams at larger firms—to pivot their strategies while windows of opportunity remain open.

At the core of the service are three intelligence modes: Competitor, Industry, and Local Market. The latter introduces a unique saturation score, ranging from 0 to 100, which maps competitor density within a specific radius. This local-level granularity is intended to solve a persistent blind spot for retail and service operators who find national market maps insufficient for making site-specific investment decisions.

Starting at $149 per month, the service is currently available in three tiers: Starter, Growth, and Apex. The platform, which entered a limited release on July 14, 2026, is now fully public, offering a technological alternative to the expensive, analyst-heavy workflows that have long dominated the competitive intelligence sector.
