Blake Absher Tapped to Lead Huntington Bank’s Central Texas Expansion
With over two decades of experience in the state’s financial sector, Blake Absher has been appointed as the Central Texas Division President for Huntington National Bank. Operating out of Austin, he is tasked with steering the bank’s commercial growth and client strategy across Austin, San Antonio, Waco, and Bryan/College Station.

Absher’s mandate includes scaling Huntington’s presence by connecting local businesses with the resources of a major national institution. He plans to integrate his community involvement—which includes board work with United Way for Greater Austin and Big Brothers Big Sisters—into the bank's operational strategy. This leadership change arrives as Huntington continues to prioritize Texas as a primary growth market, focusing on targeted talent acquisition and long-term expansion across the state’s most dynamic metropolitan areas.
