Halfpricesoft.com Drops Subscription Model for Check Writing Software

Redmond-based Halfpricesoft.com has released Version 9 of its ezCheckPrinting software, abandoning recurring subscription fees for a one-time flat rate of $49.00. The update targets small-to-midsize businesses looking to move check processing in-house to reduce expenses and regain direct control over their financial records.

The new software allows users to generate unlimited vendor and draft checks without hidden charges or per-check costs. Founder Dr. Li Ge notes that the transition to a fixed-price model aims to simplify internal accounting while providing a more secure alternative to third-party outsourcing. Beyond the pricing shift, Version 9 introduces technical upgrades including full compatibility with Windows 11 and updated printer driver support.

Operational capacity has also seen a significant boost in this release. The software now supports transaction amounts up to $99,999,999.99, a substantial increase from the previous $9,999,999.99 limit. Security protocols have been tightened with the addition of password protection for the network version, while record-keeping is improved through expanded multi-line note fields and refined logo branding tools.
