Houston-based Nauticus Robotics is joining forces with compute optimization firm Strangeworks to deploy AI-driven planning for underwater fiber-optic sensing networks. The collaboration aims to leverage autonomous subsea systems and quantum-inspired algorithms to streamline the installation and management of critical maritime infrastructure, from port security to offshore energy assets.

John Gibson, CEO of Nauticus, noted that combining these autonomous platforms with advanced computational planning could significantly reduce installation time and operational costs. Beyond initial deployment, the project explores how these analytical techniques might eventually process the massive data streams generated by subsea infrastructure.
