Sinch Integrates AI Coding Assistants Into Communications Platform
Developers using Sinch’s communications infrastructure can now build, test, and deploy applications directly within AI-assisted coding environments. The new Agent Tools suite minimizes context switching by embedding API documentation, testing capabilities, and integration support into editors like Visual Studio Code and JetBrains, effectively bringing the platform’s services into the developer’s native workflow.

A central feature of this release is Simulator Mode, which removes the friction of initial setup. Developers can now test integrations and evaluate services before configuring credentials or creating a formal account. This capability is paired with an MCP server that grants AI coding assistants—such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, and ChatGPT Desktop—direct access to live API definitions. By leveraging structured 'Sinch Skills,' these AI agents can navigate complex configurations for services ranging from Voice and Verification to Mailgun and Elastic SIP Trunking. The tools are available globally, expanding Sinch’s existing developer ecosystem of SDKs and automation capabilities.
