High Tide Secures C$40 Million Credit Facility with BMO

High Tide Inc. has finalized a C$40 million senior secured credit agreement with the Bank of Montreal, a move designed to lower the cannabis retailer's cost of capital. This new arrangement replaces the company’s previous obligations with ConnectFirst Credit Union, providing fresh liquidity for operations and strategic expansion.

The new financing package is split into two primary components: a C$25 million committed revolving credit facility maturing in three years and a C$15 million delayed-draw term loan. The latter is earmarked specifically for refinancing existing second-lien debentures. A portion of the revolving facility was deployed immediately to clear the company’s C$6 million outstanding balance with ConnectFirst Credit Union.

Secured by substantially all of the company’s assets, the new debt structure grants the Calgary-based enterprise increased financial flexibility. High Tide, which operates the Canna Cabana retail chain and holds a significant presence in the German medical cannabis market through Remexian Pharma GmbH, intends to use the remaining capacity for working capital, corporate purposes, and future acquisitions.
