Anheuser-Busch and Tunnel to Towers Expand 9/11 Anniversary Tribute

As the 25th anniversary of September 11 approaches, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation and Anheuser-Busch have announced an expanded partnership to honor the legacy of first responders and military personnel through a series of nationwide events, fundraising campaigns, and the rare return of a historic television commercial.

The collaboration builds on five years of cooperation, during which Anheuser-Busch contributed over $750,000 toward housing assistance for veterans and the families of fallen heroes. This year, the brewer will act as a national sponsor for the 2026 Tunnel to Towers Run, Walk, and Climb series, leveraging its wholesaler network to support local races through November.

Key commemorative events include an August 8 installation of an authentic World Trade Center steel beam in St. Louis and the September 27 NYC 5K Run & Walk. During the New York event, the Budweiser Clydesdales will lead the Siller family in the opening procession. On the anniversary itself, the companies will re-air Budweiser’s 2002 "Respect" commercial—a tribute featuring the Clydesdales that has been broadcast only three times previously. Frank Siller, chairman and CEO of Tunnel to Towers, emphasized that these efforts are designed to ensure the sacrifices made on September 11, 2001, remain a cornerstone of national memory.
