Since his departure, Hogg has focused on his organization, Leaders We Deserve. The group, which relies primarily on small-dollar donations, reports an 18-1 record for its candidates this cycle. Recent successes include the nominations of Donavan McKinney in Michigan, Claire Valdez in New York, and Randy Villegas in California. These candidates campaign on platforms including Medicare for All and increased taxes on the wealthy, directly challenging the party's traditional status quo.

Addressing the post-2024 narrative that Democrats must shift right to retain young voters, Hogg contends the strategy is fundamentally flawed. He argues that the recent electoral success of progressives like Mayor Zohran Mamdani proves that younger demographics are not drifting away from the party, but are instead waiting for candidates who offer clear, bold alternatives to corporate-backed establishment figures.
