Hosting a Side Event at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026

From rooftop mixers to founder pitch nights, the community-driven side events are becoming a hallmark of TechCrunch Disrupt. With the conference returning to San Francisco’s Moscone West from October 13–15, organizers have opened applications for independent hosts to anchor their own gatherings during the surrounding week.

The program offers a low-barrier path for companies and individuals to align their brand with the conference without the overhead of a formal sponsorship package. Applicants retain creative control over their event’s format, whether it is a morning run, a structured workshop, or a late-night debate. While hosts manage their own logistics, venue, and budget, TechCrunch amplifies the visibility of these gatherings through the official agenda, mobile app, and attendee communications.

Successful applicants also receive a discount code for Disrupt passes to distribute within their networks. The application window closes on September 4, and those interested in securing a spot for the October 10–16 window should contact the events team directly. Past iterations have seen over 10,000 attendees participating in dozens of independent formats, turning the city into an extension of the main exhibition floor.
