Bitmine Immersion Technologies has reached a significant milestone in its treasury strategy, accumulating 5.81 million Ethereum tokens. Bitmine Hits $11.6 Billion in Crypto Holdings Amid Aggressive ETH Push

The Norwalk-based firm currently holds 4.8% of the total Ethereum supply, a position built through consistent weekly acquisitions over the last 14 months. Chairman Thomas Lee emphasized that the company is effectively utilizing its MAVAN staking platform to generate yield, with over 5 million ETH currently staked. This operational focus is expected to produce roughly $294 million in annualized rewards as the platform scales.

Beyond direct crypto accumulation, the company has ramped up its capital return efforts, repurchasing 19.1 million common shares since July 2026. Management views these buybacks as a key component of their value-creation strategy, especially as they navigate a shifting macroeconomic landscape. Lee pointed to cooling inflation data and a decreasing likelihood of Federal Reserve rate hikes as potential tailwinds for the broader digital asset market. Despite the scale of its holdings, Bitmine continues to frame its aggressive treasury management as a long-term play, positioning itself as a primary institutional player in the evolving landscape of digital asset infrastructure.
