Hoda Assadian Named COO of MemorialCare’s Long Beach Campus
MemorialCare has appointed Hoda Assadian as chief operating officer for Long Beach Medical Center and Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital. Bringing a background in industrial engineering and experience at major academic health systems, Assadian will oversee operational strategy and patient care delivery across the organization’s shared Southern California campus.

A primary focus of her role involves improving throughput across the continuum, from emergency services to discharge planning. By leveraging data-driven workflows, she aims to remove systemic barriers for medical staff while maintaining safety standards. Lara Khouri, CEO of Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital, noted that Assadian’s approach balances operational efficiency with a commitment to the patient experience. The campus remains a critical regional hub, housing one of only three specialized children’s and women’s facilities in California alongside a Level II Trauma Center.
