Ping An Mobilizes Massive Response to Typhoon Dolphin
With Typhoon Dolphin triggering red alerts across multiple Chinese provinces, Ping An Insurance has activated a sweeping emergency response. By 2:00 p.m. on August 11, the insurer reported over 27,000 claims related to the storm, with total estimated payouts projected to exceed RMB 650 million.

Technological tools played a central role in the insurer’s mitigation efforts. Before the storm made landfall, the proprietary Eagle Eye DRS Risk Reduction Platform pushed over 48 million weather alerts to individuals and corporate clients. The platform also facilitated targeted agricultural support, reaching 534,000 farmers with risk notifications and aiding in the emergency harvest of 88,000 mu of rice.
