Google Unveils Pixel 11 Lineup and Tracking Tags

The Made by Google 2026 event brought a hardware refresh headlined by the Pixel 11 series, a new competitor to Apple’s AirTag, and significant AI upgrades. As Google pushes further into hardware integration, the company is betting on increased base storage, enhanced durability, and deeper Gemini functionality to justify higher entry prices.

Google Unveils Pixel 11 Lineup and Tracking Tags

The standard Pixel 11 features a redesigned, all-glass camera bar that is 40% thinner than its predecessor. Google has eliminated the 128GB storage tier, setting the new base at 256GB and driving the starting price to $899. The flagship Pro and Pro XL models emphasize durability, boasting an anti-scratch display coating twice as resistant as the Pixel 10 Pro. These models start at $1,099 and arrive in four colors, including a new matte-finish Obsidian.

The foldable space sees the arrival of the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, which is 10% lighter and nearly 1mm thinner than the previous generation. With a glass-fiber composite back and a reinforced hinge, Google claims the device is three times more durable than its predecessor. Beyond the phones, the $29 Pixel Tag marks Google’s official entry into the tracking market, utilizing the Find Hub network to locate personal items via the Pixel Watch or voice commands through Pixel Buds.

Software improvements center on Gemini, which now powers "Rambler," a voice-input feature designed to interpret unstructured, natural speech. Accessibility also sees a boost with "Live Transcribe" gaining American Sign Language support via the Pixel Camera. The Pixel Watch 5 debuts with an expanded focus on long-term health tracking, offering monthly summaries for blood pressure and insulin resistance trends, with pricing starting at $399.
