Hughes is recognized for his book, Measurement and Control Basics, Fifth Edition, while Jagdish Shukla receives the Enduring Society Service award. Other honorees include Pappa Natarajan for Excellence in Education, Dr. Swati Prashant Madhe for Mentoring, and Shahida Md Yusof for Technical Achievement. Graham Nasby and Pete Vande Visse share the Excellence in Standards honor.

ISA Names 2026 Celebrating Excellence Award Recipients
The International Society of Automation has unveiled its 2026 Celebrating Excellence honorees, a group of professionals and sections recognized for advancing the automation field. These individuals and organizations will be formally honored during the upcoming ISA Automation Summit & Expo held in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, this September.
Beyond individual accolades, the society is celebrating geographic sections in Malaysia, Pune, and Spain for their regional impact. The list of awardees also includes students Ana Medrano Valero, Ángela Blanco Pérez, and Paula Francisca Moreno Prieto, alongside Volunteers of the Year Álvaro Raimúndez Martínez, Armando Gonzalez, H S Pansare, and Phillip Swinson. The recipients are set to be feted during the Honors & Awards Gala, scheduled for September 27–29, 2026.
