First Solar Investors Face August Deadline in Securities Fraud Lawsuit

Investors who incurred financial losses holding First Solar, Inc. stock between February 2025 and February 2026 now have until August 24, 2026, to apply as lead plaintiffs in a pending class action lawsuit filed by the Law Offices of Frank R. Cruz.

First Solar Investors Face August Deadline in Securities Fraud Lawsuit

The legal complaint alleges that First Solar executives disseminated misleading information regarding the company's ability to navigate shifting U.S. tariff policies. Specifically, the suit claims the firm obscured the negative financial impact of underutilizing production facilities in Malaysia and Vietnam while attempting a costly relocation of manufacturing operations to the United States.

According to the allegations, these omissions caused the company’s public performance projections to lack a reasonable basis throughout the 2026 fiscal year. Shareholders who wish to serve as lead plaintiffs must meet the August 24 deadline to participate in the ongoing litigation. Those who choose not to take action remain members of the class by default, retaining the right to choose their own counsel or participate without direct involvement in the filing process.
