FINBOA Launches Recovery Assist to Automate Payment Dispute Resolution

Financial institutions face a persistent clash between rising dispute volumes and the demand for rapid cardholder resolution. Houston-based FINBOA is addressing this friction with the launch of Recovery Assist, a new extension designed to intercept disputes before they escalate into costly, time-consuming chargebacks.

FINBOA Launches Recovery Assist to Automate Payment Dispute Resolution

The platform integrates directly with the Visa Verifi™ Cardholder Dispute Resolution Network (CDRN®), creating a bridge between issuers and merchants. Instead of triggering a manual chargeback process that can span weeks, the system allows participating merchants to review claims in near real-time. If a refund is appropriate, the dispute is settled immediately, sparing the bank from administrative overhead and providing the customer with a faster outcome.

Raj Singal, CEO and founder of FINBOA, noted that the tool aims to eliminate the traditional trade-off between operational efficiency and customer experience. By consolidating intake, case management, and network processing into a single workflow, institutions can move away from fragmented, multi-system environments. Data from the company suggests this automation can reduce resolution time from a 24-day manual cycle to an average of just 17 hours. The company plans to host a webinar on August 18 to demonstrate these capabilities for banks and credit unions looking to scale their operations without increasing headcount.
