Broadwing Capital Secures $440 Million for Inaugural Fund
Dallas-based private equity firm Broadwing Capital has closed its debut fund at $440 million, surpassing a $350 million target. The oversubscribed raise highlights growing institutional appetite for the firm’s hands-on approach to scaling manufacturing and services companies in the lower middle market.

Kerlin, managing partner, noted that the investor response exceeded expectations, reflecting confidence in the firm’s track record. Broadwing currently manages over $730 million in total committed capital and has completed 26 acquisitions since its inception. Raymond James Private Capital Advisory acted as the placement agent, with legal counsel provided by Greenberg Traurig, LLP.
