Following a rapid sell-out of the inaugural version last year, the brands have pivoted the design for this summer release. The 27-ounce, three-wick candle now features a custom vine-green double-walled glass vessel and lid, intended to be repurposed as a serving dish once the 80-hour burn time concludes. The scent itself remains a verdant study of late-summer gardening, blending basil, lavender, and mint with the specific aroma of San Marzano tomato leaves, petitgrain, and cedarwood.

Malin+Goetz and Carbone Fine Food Relaunch Tomato Supercandle
New York-based skincare brand Malin+Goetz is reuniting with Carbone Fine Food for a second limited-edition release of their tomato-scented supercandle. The collaboration, which pairs the fragrance house’s signature scent profile with the culinary heritage of the iconic restaurant group, hits the market on August 17, 2026.

For Mario Carbone, the project serves as an extension of the brand’s culinary philosophy, where ingredient sourcing remains paramount. The candle mirrors the approach taken in the kitchen, focusing on the nuance of high-quality components rather than complexity. Co-founder Andrew Goetz notes that the partnership is anchored in a mutual commitment to elevated simplicity, where the absence of unnecessary elements leaves no room for error. The candle is priced at $205 and arrives alongside a broader expansion of the Malin+Goetz tomato-themed fragrance collection, which now includes hand soap and salve.
