QuadMed Secures Top-Tier Epic Ranking for Primary Care Integration

At the 2026 Epic Users Group Meeting, QuadMed achieved a top 1% global ranking for platform usage, signaling a shift in employer-sponsored healthcare. By securing a 9 out of 10 score in Epic’s Gold Stars program, the Sussex-based firm has validated its strategy of embedding advanced digital infrastructure into primary care.

The recognition stems from a deliberate effort to move beyond fragmented systems, consolidating occupational health, primary care, and claims data into a single, longitudinal patient record. While primary care in the United States often suffers from chronic underinvestment and poor electronic health record usability, QuadMed’s model utilizes Epic’s full suite to ensure clinical data flows seamlessly through Care Everywhere and the Payer Platform.

CEO Kathryn Quadracci Flores emphasized that the ranking reflects a commitment to providing clinicians with high-level digital tools typically reserved for massive health systems. By integrating these capabilities, QuadMed aims to lower costs and improve health outcomes for employees. Alex Dressler, director of the Gold Stars program, noted that the high score requires sustained cooperation between IT, clinical staff, and operations to ensure that sophisticated technology translates into meaningful daily practice rather than just theoretical capability.
