Stephanie Wasco Joins Cure Alzheimer's Fund as EVP

The Wellesley Hills-based nonprofit Cure Alzheimer's Fund has named Stephanie Wasco its new Executive Vice President of Marketing and Communications. She steps into the role tasked with sharpening the organization’s brand strategy and amplifying the reach of its mission to fund research aimed at reversing the progression of Alzheimer’s disease.

Wasco arrives at a critical juncture for the nonprofit, which has distributed $270 million to research initiatives since its inception in 2004. CEO Meg Smith highlighted Wasco’s track record in the life sciences and biomedical sectors, specifically noting her capacity to translate intricate scientific breakthroughs into accessible narratives for the public and potential donors. Her leadership will focus on sustaining donor engagement and heightening the visibility of the organization's collaborative research model.

Before this appointment, Wasco served as Senior Vice President and Head of Communications for advanced markets at Biocon Biologics. Her background includes a tenure as Chief Communications Officer at The Jackson Laboratory and a leadership role at PerkinElmer. She now joins a team consistently recognized for its financial oversight, holding a four-star rating from Charity Navigator for 14 consecutive years.
