Industry executives from Google, Comcast, and Roku will gather in Marina del Rey this November for the ninth annual Future of Video conference. The two-day event, hosted by Parks Associates, aims to address the shifting landscape of streaming, consolidation, and the evolving value of media consumption in U.S. households.

The conference, scheduled for November 17-18 at the Marina del Rey Marriott, features an opening keynote from Gil Fuchsberg, President of Subscriptions and Corporate Development at Roku. The program leverages Parks Associates’ latest market research, which highlights that 91% of U.S. internet households now subscribe to streaming services, while 46% regularly engage with ad-supported FAST content. Roku currently holds a 28% share of the connected TV operating system market, with the Roku Channel standing as a primary competitor to platforms like Tubi.

Mindi Sue Sternblitz-Rubenstein, VP of Marketing at Parks Associates, noted that the event serves as a critical forum for navigating the current phase of industry maturity. Beyond the keynote, the advisory board includes leadership representation from Verizon, Warner Bros. Discovery, LG Electronics, and DISH. The agenda will examine strategies for overcoming churn, managing content acquisition, and adapting to the changing habits of consumers who increasingly rely on smart TVs and dedicated streaming media players.
