Ochsner Health adopts Hoda Kotb’s Joy 101 for employee well-being

Ochsner Health has become the first employer in the United States to integrate Joy 101, a wellness platform curated by journalist Hoda Kotb, into its benefits package. The nonprofit health system is providing all 40,000 of its team members free access to daily, habit-building tools designed to combat burnout and promote mental health.

The partnership aims to support a multi-generational workforce by offering short, accessible content—most sessions last under 10 minutes—covering meditation, sleep, and personal growth. By providing these resources, Ochsner leadership hopes to reinforce a culture where caregivers are better equipped to sustain their own health while serving patients across Louisiana, Mississippi, and the Gulf South.

Developed after internal feedback regarding workplace culture, the initiative received early backing from Gayle Benson, owner of the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans. The platform features contributions from experts such as Harvard professor Arthur Brooks and NYU’s Suzy Welch. This move builds on Ochsner’s existing recognition for workplace excellence, including accolades from Gallup and Fortune, as the system seeks to provide tangible relief for staff who often manage high-pressure environments.
